How do I make room for more troops?
What should I do in my first session?
Finish the tutorial, choose from the starter troops offered to you, and check your equipment before joining a match. Your first goal is to learn where your squad goes when you issue an order. In battle, work toward the marked capture objective with your team rather than using kills as your only target.
The official game description identifies recruiting, capturing points, ordering formations and upgrading troops as the core activities. The more detailed sequence below follows AllThings. How’s September 5 gameplay guide, accessed September 20, 2026. Treat its menu names as reported observations and read the current game prompts when they differ.
- Complete the tutorial. Practise moving your squad and following its objective instructions.
- Choose available starters. The report lists Mercenary, Shieldman, Spearman and Archer in the starter pool.
- Check the equipped selection. Compare the displayed troop costs with your Star Limit.
- Play the marked objective. Find your assigned side and move with teammates toward the relevant point.
- Review after the match. Check your level, equip limit, owned troops and available upgrade requirements before spending resources.
For help selecting roles rather than learning the match sequence, open the beginner army plan.
Which troop commands should I learn first?
Learn the difference between moving your squad with you and leaving it at a position. The report describes four orders: Follow, Hold, Attack and Rush. Practise them in the tutorial before worrying about a complicated roster, and use the input labels shown by your device instead of assuming a keyboard shortcut.
| Order | Reported function | First useful exercise |
|---|---|---|
| Follow | The squad moves with your character | Walk toward the tutorial objective and check that the unit comes with you |
| Hold | The squad stays at a position and defends it | Use it when the tutorial warns of an incoming attack and asks you to hold |
| Attack | The squad engages the target you designate | Select the tutorial’s target and observe where the troops go |
| Rush | The squad pushes forward aggressively | Try it when instructed so you understand the commitment before using it near a defended point |
The same report describes a tutorial sequence that sends Knights toward a gate. Its purpose is to demonstrate that troops can attack a structure as well as other soldiers. Follow the current objective prompt if that sequence has changed.
Keep your personal actions separate from troop orders. The reported match interface includes character attack, block, roll, heal and mounting controls. Moving your character is not the same instruction as telling a squad already on Hold to follow you again.
How do attack and defense objectives work?
Look at the assigned side and the objective marker before choosing a fight. The September report describes attacker-versus-defender matches, with a demonstrated sequence of Capture Point A, Capture Point B and then the Capture Base. Use the markers for your current match rather than assuming every map or mode follows that exact route.
For an attacking round:
- Find the current objective marker and approach it with your team.
- Bring your squad along instead of arriving alone while it holds a previous location.
- Give the squad an order that helps contest that point.
- When the next objective becomes active, move on and reposition the troops.
For a defending round, identify the point the enemy is trying to take, position your squad deliberately, and use Hold when you want it to remain there. If the objective changes or your position stops helping, issue a new movement order rather than assuming the squad will relocate with your character.
The report describes Shield Wall for holding ground and Triangle for an offensive push with fast troops. Check which formations your selected unit actually offers. Cannons also appear in the reported match, but no universal cannon location or requirement is implied.
How should I recruit troops and spend gems?
Inspect your current roster and budget before summoning. The September guide describes a lobby Standard Banner that uses gems to obtain troops; MimoBlox’s September 13 beginner tutorial also describes recruiting through Summon. A new troop still needs to fit your equip restrictions, so choose what problem you want to solve before spending on another option.
Use this order in the lobby:
- Check which roles your owned units already cover.
- Read your current Star Limit and the costs of the troops you can equip.
- Open the available summoning interface and read its current pool and price.
- Compare the single and multiple-summon prices yourself; do not assume a bulk discount.
- After obtaining a troop, inspect its card and try a legal selection before replacing useful starters.
The September guide names Spartan, Immortal, Crossbowman and Scout Rider as examples from its observed banner. This is a historical pool observation, not a promise that a particular unit is in the current banner or that a roll will obtain it.
Keep duplicate troops while you check the upgrade system: MimoBlox describes using copies of the same unit for Ascension. In Linjun’s September 17 tips video at 0:32, the creator also describes double-clicking a unit to mark it as a favorite. Check that the favorite marker appears before relying on it to organize units you want to keep.
What should I upgrade after my first matches?
Separate player progression from troop upgrades. The Star Limit report describes a larger equip budget as your player level rises. MimoBlox’s later beginner tutorial describes a different troop process: open Upgrade and use same-unit copies for Ascension, with Evolve as another progression step. Check the unit you intend to keep before confirming a merge.
Use these reported menu functions as a checklist:
- Review your current Star Limit after progressing. See whether an owned selection now fits before summoning again.
- Choose the troop you want to develop and inspect its Upgrade information.
- For an Ascension, identify the unit being kept and the same-unit copies being consumed.
- Check the donor selections before confirming. Linjun’s discussion at 1:14–2:47 warns that putting a developed unit in a consumed-copy position can lose that unit.
- Inspect the unit’s Evolve option separately and follow its current displayed requirements; do not assume every troop has a route.
- Recheck the resulting selection’s equip requirements before planning the next match.
| Check | Why it changes your next decision |
|---|---|
| Current level and Star Limit | A larger displayed budget may make another owned selection possible |
| The job your army is missing | More options help only if they address the problem you encountered |
| The unit’s displayed upgrade requirements | These establish what you would spend and what the game says you receive |
| The resulting equip requirements | Recheck the resulting selection rather than assuming an upgrade fits |
These are creator-reported steps, read from automatic English captions, rather than a test by this site. The videos describe evolution prerequisites differently, so this guide does not publish a fixed level-and-Ascension recipe. Use the star-limit guide for equip problems and the evolution guide before committing to an evolution. Two names appearing together in an announcement do not establish its recipe.
What should I focus on for the next few matches?
Choose one skill to improve each round: keeping the squad with you, holding the useful position, or moving on when the objective changes. Then review whether your troops performed that job. This gives you a concrete reason to change an order or selection instead of rebuilding your army after every defeat.
- If you reached the objective alone, practise checking the squad before advancing.
- If the troops stayed behind, practise leaving Hold and moving to the new position.
- If the army would not equip, compare the current displayed costs and budget.
- If you want another troop, identify the missing role before spending gems.
Chrisu’s September 19 guide recommends protecting archers behind the front of a defending group and using camps to replenish losses. Linjun’s camp discussion also describes replenishment and healing. When you find an available camp in your match, inspect its interaction rather than treating a damaged squad as ready for the next push.
The codes page separately tracks what is known about rewards and redemption. Do not plan your early spending around an unverified code or a promised reward that is absent from your current game.
This guide reorganizes reported mechanics into a first-session plan. AllThings. How cites MimoBlox’s September 5 gameplay as source material; those are not separate independent tests. The later MimoBlox, Linjun and Chrisu tutorials were accessed on September 20, 2026 through automatic English captions, which can mishear terms. Exact current prices, keyboard bindings and upgrade recipes remain outside this guide until supported by current evidence.
